Umeshu is a Japanese liqueur made by steeping ume fruits (while still unripe & green) in alcohol and sugar. It has a sweet, sour taste and 10% alcohol content. The taste and aroma of umeshu can appeal to even those people who normally dislike alcohol.
A uniquely sweet and gently tart taste of ume fruit with notes of almond from the pit. Serve straight and slightly chilled or on-the-rocks.
